Briarcliff, Texas is located in Travis County, 30 miles west of Austin on the south shore of Lake Travis. The Briarcliff Subdivision was developed in the late 1960s. From the 1960s to 1984, the only governing body of the subdivision was the Briarcliff Property Owners Association, Inc. (BPOA). In 1984 residents approved incorporation of the Village of Briarcliff, to include the Briarcliff subdivision and two subdivisions on the north side of Cat Hollow, Cat Hollow Club and Perry's White Cliff. The BPOA Board and the Village Council work together to maintain a country atmosphere for the over 1200 residents of Briarcliff.
Amenities that are available to the residents of the Briarcliff Subdivision are the BPOA's Community Center, tennis courts, and a central park with play ground, basketball courts, pavilion, and picnic areas. Also available to the residents of all three subdivisions that make up the Village of Briarcliff are the privately owned Pedernales Country Club Golf Course (Willie Nelson's course), the Briarcliff Marina, the Lakehouse Cafe, and for casual dining, Lee's Almost By The Lake is located just outside the front entrance.
Electricity is provided by Pedernales Electric Cooperative; cable television service from Time Warner Cable; fire and medical services by the Pedernales Emergency Services. Postal service is provided by the Spicewood Post Office in Burnet County (zip code 78669). The Lake Travis Independent School District operates bus service in Briarcliff.

The Briarcliff Property Owners Association (BPOA) owns and maintains the roads, parks and lakes located in the Briarcliff Subdivision. On the right side of this page is navigation to the BPOA Board of Directors and Committees, the Community Center, builders' packages, etc.
