Sale and Use of Fireworks Banned in Travis County
Travis County Commissioners have banned the sale and/or use of ANY fireworks until further notice which includes the 4th of July Holiday. This BAN also includes any kind community fireworks programs.
 
“The purpose of this order is the mitigation of the public safety hazard posed by Wildfires during the current drought and severe weather conditions by prohibiting the sale and use of all fireworks,” states Samuel T. Bisco, County Judge Travis County.
 
“We would like to thank the public for their understanding during these extreme conditions, and for their continued support to protect life and property in Travis County,” comments Hershel Lee, Travis County Fire Marshall.
