| Lake Travis Is Worth How Much!? |
Posted on Oct 7th, 2011
Ever wonder exactly how much revenue our treasured lake brings in? Well, now the results are in, and they include some BIG numbers! The Lake Travis Coalition is a group of governments, non-profits and businesses who commissioned a study to calculate a baseline economic and fiscal value to the area surrounding Lake Travis. The study was conducted by an independent consulting firm, RCLCO, who used historical data and econometric models to assess the financial impact low lake levels or poor water quality have on the region. The Village of Briarcliff, along with 12 other Lake Travis public entities, is a member of the coalition and had representation on the Steering Committee for the study. Check out the eye opening results of the report as an abbreviated single page Overview or see the entire 114 page Lake Travis Economic Impact Report by clicking the links or finding them in the documents section of this website.
